What’s a
P.N.A.?
It’s your
own Power Name Acronym. Your P.N.A. is
a very helpful tool in boosting your esteem and belief in yourself and your own
Radiance and Glory.
You’ve seen
acronyms before. The writer takes a
specific word, then uses every letter of that word to be the initial of another
word.
That’s what
you do to create your P.N.A. Write
your full name vertically down the left side of your paper. Next to each letter, write a word,
beginning with that letter, that describes one of your special qualities,
talents, skills, or positive attributes.
Choose your
words carefully. As best you can, use
positive emotional, powerful words that are uplifting and motivational to
you. If you have one letter that
appears more than once in your name, use a different word each time for that
letter. I have four I’s in my name,
so I had to come up with 4 different words beginning with “I”.
Here’s my
P.N.A. as an example:
Powerful
Radiant
Intentional
Sensual
Committed
Intelligent
Loving
Loyal
Actualizing
Wonderful
Attractive
Intuitive
Natural
Wise
(WOW!)
Radical
Iridescent
Glorious
Helpful
Tough/Tender
Have fun
with this. Don’t rush it. Take time to select the most powerful,
expressive, accurate, and motivating words.
(Power hint: Choose some words
that describe the IDEAL DESIRED YOU,
even if they don’t describe you as you believe you are today.)
When you finish,
you may want to make a decorative copy and frame it. Maybe type it in a fancy font style,
handwrite it prettily, or have a calligrapher or artist friend render it for
you. You might want to decorate it
with drawn flowers or vines, pictures, or
whatever would be attractive to you.
The real
power, however, comes in using it.
Every morning as you start your day, read it. Then close your eyes and visualize yourself being that person you’ve described,
handling your situations as if you were that powerful, glorious person. (You are, BTW.)
Have
FUN! Try this religiously for 30
days. Journal your results.
